WHAT IS BOOTCAMP?

Since the inaugural bootcamp in 2011, the Adelaide Flamenco Bootcamp has become a tradition to get the body, mind and soul ready for another great year of Flamenco Dance! The Flamenco Bootcamp is an original concept created and developed by Roshanne Wijeyeratne in Spain and Australia, and is an internationally-recognised speciality of Roshanne’s.

The Flamenco Bootcamp offers multi-levelled, high-energy training where all dancers (above total beginner) will be pushed to develop technique and stamina over consecutive sessions with a special focus on body conditioning. The Bootcamp is a unique and tailored Flamenco experience and a brilliant way to drill and boost your Flamenco skills to their maximum potential in a short timeframe.

The Adelaide Bootcamp consists of a certain number of sessions depending on the program requirements usually over a 2 week period. Although full attendance is recommended for maximum results, one 90-minute bootcamp session is better than none!

Each class is unique and comprehensive, and partial attendance does not pose a problem. Comprehensive training covers multi-levelled footwork, armwork and hands, body work and extension, marcaje, palmas, various styles of turns and remates for fin de fiesta palos designed to work the entire body for all different levels.
